GOD AND POLITICS

Many people think that God is not interested in politics.  That is far from the truth.  God is interested in the well-being of His creation, the people.  He knows that the moment 2 or more persons live in a place, there is bound to be politics.

Politics is about power sharing in the community for the benefit of all, economically and socially.  Even between husband and wife, there is a degree of power sharing for the benefit of the family.  Properly share, the marriage would be strong.  Badly shared, the marriage will rock and rock till it breaks.

God has always known who would become what in any polity.  All kings and presidents have been known to God and He has always determined how to alleviate the sufferings of His people when the goings have been tough.  An example is that of Pharaoh in Egypt when Israelites were in bondage.  Throughout all generations, God has watched over the events of men politically and economically.

If you ever thought that God was never interested in politics, perhaps because some people say that ‘it is dirty’, change your mind today.  God watches over the affairs of men.  You better be interested in the politics of your country because whether you do or not, ti controls your life.
